Eliza Turns One, or, Party at the Glass Household!

Sweet baby Eliza turned one in February, and of course we went up to NWA and had a fabulous time celebrating one year of her precious life with her family and friends.

So sweet!

Singing "Happy Birthday" to Eliza!

First bite:  cake is delicious!

Girl ate everything but the cake plate ... and she tried to eat that too!

Jones and Eliza playing with their favorite part of the whole party (beside the cake and cookies):  balloons!

And, my favorite, the clean-up crew:

Happy Birthday, Eliza!  You are such a blessing to your family (and I'm including us, the Wards, in that family designation)!

The Wards are Merry and Bright, or, Christmas 2013

We'll leave aside the fact that it's March and I'm just now putting up my pictures from Christmas.  With that in mind, and the fact that there are LOTS of pictures from this year, I'll just let the pictures do (most of) the talking.

After church, the Sunday before Christmas

Two cute guys, after church, the Sunday before Christmas.
We celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas at our house; my parents came down on Christmas Eve, and Grammy and Papa and Tee came down on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve ... Jones had spent the couple of days prior with my parents, and he was worn out from the traveling and all of the excitement and break from routine, and he's not normally the greatest picture taker anyway, so these pictures are not the greatest of Joneser.

See what I mean?  Look at that face - he is SO put out.

Santa brought Jones a tractor, a cowboy hat, and a stick horse that neighs and makes clip-clop galloping sounds.  Jones went straight for the tractor.

And he tried to make Augie wear the hat ...

This is so cute, it kills me a little bit:

That Daddy ... he's a hoot!
This was our breakfast/snack plate - we didn't want anything too big, since we would be having a big Christmas feast around lunchtime, but we needed something, obviously.  The funny thing is, I had little plates for everyone, to take what they wanted from the tray, but Jones just plopped himself down in front of it and went to town ...

So, I believe I've said before that Jones is not a fan of pants.  We call him Captain No-Pants.  Christmas was no exception.

You may note that the child is not wearing pants, but he is wearing shoes.  This is his standard look nowadays.  No pants, but sneakers.  It's quite a fashion statement.

Nana helping Jones with his Christmas dinner.  I'm pretty sure he only ate dessert.
I had to document my decorating, of course.  I was also super-excited to get to break out my fancy china.  Who doesn't love an excuse to get out the fancy china?!
Dining room table - china and crystal and silver, oh my!

I can't say enough how much I love my china ... I'm already looking forward to breaking it out again at Easter!

Piano wall decorations

Living room - the main Christmas tree!

Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care!

Entry way

3 Generations:  Grammy and Papa, my mom, and me!
You may notice that there aren't any pictures of Jones opening presents.  That's because he didn't really care a thing about it.  He opened his first present, and he was over it after that.  He just wanted to open and play with that one present, and we could never convince him that he should get excited about opening all of the others!

Tee and Jones!

Grammy and Papa and Jones!

Winding down ...

The Ward family on Christmas Day!

This is after the festivities were over - a lot of the toys our little cowboy got for Christmas.  I sent this picture to Papa and he texted me back "Looks like South Fork on Dallas" ... Ha!
We went up to see the Wards on New Year's Day.

Jones helping Grandma open presents!

SO EXCITED about his new Legos!

Granddad was excited about his new bibs!

Like I said, super excited about the Legos!
