Easter 2014, or, Two Ward Families are Better Than One!

We spent Easter in Ashdown with Alan's younger brother, Patrick, and his wife, Sarah, and our niece, Mattie.  We had  a lot of fun, and it was sweet to get to see Jones and Mattie play together.

Helping Uncle Patrick get his exercise at the park!

Oh the joy of a sandbox!

Snow Cones!  Also, enjoy this sneak peek of Sarah and her cute bump - that's our nephew in there!
Easter Sunday came, and our cute little bunnies donned their Easter finery!

So handsome in his john johns!  Outfits like this kill me ... much like Jones will probably want to kill me later in life for making him wear stuff like this but y'all, it's so cute, it can't be wrong!

We told them to pose!  Mattie, sassy-pants, knew just what to do, and Jones followed her lead!

We told Mattie to put her arm around Jones, which he liked, but he apparently thought that was the secret signal for, "Jump up and down and have some fun!  Make yourself kind of hard to photograph!"

After church, there was an Easter egg hunt.  Now, Jones has never been to an organized Easter egg hunt with multiple children, except at his school, and I've never actually been there to witness that one.  So, he knows what to do, but just like at Halloween, he didn't care a thing about quantity - he picked up, like, seriously, maybe 10 eggs?  He spent most of the egg hunt opening the eggs he did pick up and eating the candy right then and there. Hilarious, but that's what made him happy!

Opening his eggs as he collects them, and eating the treats!

Sassy pants, again!  She's just too cute!

Mattie is concerned that Jones is just not doing this Easter egg hunt thing correctly!

Excited about eggs and candy!

Sweet cousins!

Happy Easter from the Wards!
