Three Christmases, or, a Fun, Old-Fashioned Ward Family Christmas Retrospective

Christmas is so fun when children are involved, and that has been the case for us ever since Jones was born - and now I can't wait to get to experience it all over again with Tiger!  Three Christmases have come and gone since this blog went dormant - no time like the present to re-live the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas in 2014 ...

If ever there was a reason for spontaneous dance-offs, it's Christmas, right?
Christmas Eve:

Making reindeer food with Nana!

Putting out the reindeer food!

Christmas Day:

Amazed by all of the toys Santa brought!

Papa commented that Jones had his own South Fork - ha!

Jones had asked for tractors and a bicycle.  Santa left a note for Jones that said, "I couldn't fit one of your presents down the chimney, but I left it out front for you!"  So, we took him outside to check out what Santa had left ... it was the bicycle!

Present opening fun!

Cookies for Santa
Christmas Day:

In 2015, Jones became a big fan of the show Mighty Machines (Netflix it, if you have little kids).  One of his favorite episodes is the one where they show all of the logging equipment; that's what he requested from Santa - a logging truck.  Santa also brought a cement mixer, because it too is a mighty machine, and because it was cool.

Christmas Dinner!

Pretty excited about Transformers!

Layla and I had the same feeling at the end of the day:  I need a nap!

Christmas in 2016 ...

Breakfast with Santa - he requested a Thunder Megazord which, for those of you not in the know,
is a Power Ranger thing.  Jones is really into Power Rangers this year.
Christmas Eve:
Cookies and milk for Santa

Reindeer food!
Christmas Day:

Yes!  He came!  And he brought just what we asked for ...

... which was the Thunder Megazord!

Pretty excited about the Megazord

Tiger's first Christmas!

Perfect Christmas present for a 2-month old:  diapers and formula!

Jones loves to open presents!

His very own combine!
