Tiger is 3 Months Old, or, What's Happening With Tiger in January!

And, just like that, we're out of what I think of as the newborn phase!

So, he was already kind of upset that I hadn't gotten him undressed and bathed and what not (loves his bath, loves getting a clean diaper and lotion and all of that, and I was delaying that with these picture taking shenanigans, as you can tell by the look on his face.

Officially over the picture-taking.

But I love this outfit and his little shoes, so I made him take some more ... this face ... it says, "That's it, woman.  Last chance.  Get me ready for the bath and no one gets hurt."

So far, Tiger's personality is sweet and laid-back.  He is perfectly content to just hang and watch all the goings-on around him.  He rarely cries, except for some identifiable reason (hungry, sleepy, needs a diaper change).  He's a happy baby (the above picture of him crying notwithstanding)!

That little smile, y'all!
At 3 months old, Tiger:
  • Probably weighs in the 14-15 pound range; he's in 3-6 months clothes, size 1 diapers.
Another outfit and set of shoes I adore, so I made him take pictures!
  • Is a good eater, but is not generally overly enthusiastic about it.
Trying to capture that joy of sitting in a rocking chair, rocking a sweet baby to sleep.  It's such a short time that they're in this phase, and so small and snuggly and just, you know, really in that infant phase.  I, like most parents, could spend a long time just watching him sleep.
  • Occasionally sleeps through the night!  He can make it all the way from 10:00 to 6:00, which I think is a win!  He does wake up sometimes in the middle of the night, and I'll get up and put the paci back in and turn on the movement and sound on his pack-and-play (he's still in the pack-and-play in our room), and he'll go back to sleep.
I love when babies sleep like this - totally relaxed!
  • Still loves bath time!
"You serious Clark?"

Jones is such a good big brother, he loves to help with Tiger!  He always wants to help bathe, change his diapers (his help there is to put the dirty diaper in the diaper pail), get him ready for bed, feed him his bottle, read to him ... it's so sweet to see!

  • Adores big brother!  He always smiles at Jones, and is always looking at him and following his movements.
Y'all know I can't get over matching outfits!

Matching.  Outfits.  I just can't ...
  • Talks!  Maybe that should be in parenthesis:  "talks" - he giggles and coos and jabbers, and he loves for you to jabber right back to him.

  • Hates tummy time.  Hates it.  Hates.  It.  He's actually pretty close to rolling over back to front; if he can ever figure out to push with the arm that's on the ground, he'll be over.  We make him do the tummy time but since he hates it, we all hate it.  This is really the only time he cries in upsetedness, and man, talk about upsetedness - his little face gets so red, and tear-streaked, and he gets out of breath ... it is no fun!
There's a mirror up above him and, like most babies, he loves to look at himself.

Hates it, y'all.  Hates.  It.
  • Falls asleep in the swing and the car, pretty much every time (like big brother before him).
Fell asleep in the car, stayed asleep in the swing.
I know all babies are sweet and precious and Tiger is the personification of sweetness and preciousness - he's such a blessing!
